Ryvve 2.1: Shops, 217 Featured Routes & Ryvve Premium
The biggest release since 2.0 — entire new product surfaces (Shops, Featured Routes, Premium) plus a rebuilt inbox, onboarding, and map.
Ryvve 2.1 is here, and it's the most we've shipped in a single release. Three brand-new product surfaces, a rebuilt inbox and onboarding, a smarter map, and a quiet foundation pass that makes everything feel snappier. Here's what to look for.
Ryvve Premium — $8.99/mo
Premium is officially live. One tier, one price, no quotas — Premium is a feature unlock, not a paywall on the basics.
What you get:
- Drive Analytics with a contribution heatmap, year picker, personal records, and month-over-month comparisons
- Drive Heatmap — a personal "every road I've ever driven" map that fills in over time
- GPX Export — drop any drive into Strava, RideWithGPS, Komoot, or anything else that speaks GPX
- Profile accent color that flows through your avatar, tabs, and posts
- Verified checkmark on your avatar
- Year in Review — your driving year, summarized into a shareable recap
- Beta access to new features before everyone else
Free stays free. Unlimited drive tracking, joining clubs, garage management, and chat — none of it moves behind the paywall. See Pricing for the full breakdown.
Shops
A new way to find car-friendly places. We're launching with 21 curated cafes and members' clubs seeded across the country, with full search, discovery, and a save-to-profile hub. Map pins distinguish featured shops from free listings, and shop owners can claim their listing through an in-app submission flow. More cities coming.
Featured Routes
217 hand-picked driving routes spanning the United States. Canyons, coastal highways, mountain passes, historic byways — every route has a polyline preview, dark-mode thumbnail, and metadata you can sort or filter by distance.
98 of the most iconic routes (Tail of the Dragon, Pikes Peak Highway, and friends) are flagged as Premium picks. The rest are open to everyone.
Messaging, Reborn
The whole inbox got rebuilt to feel like the messaging apps you actually use:
- Search, filter chips, pinning, and swipe actions in the inbox
- Optimistic send — your message appears instantly
- Compose with lazy conversation creation — just start typing
- Entity attach — share a car, club, event, or drive directly into the chat
- Swipe to reply, double-tap to react
- A Cars tab in the emoji picker so you can react with your own builds
Notifications got their own dedicated screen with cleaner cards.
Onboarding, Reimagined
A redesigned signup flow built around momentum: a Welcome screen with a value carousel and dynamic social proof, auth split into SignUp/SignIn screens with live password rules, a NameSetup step right after the persona quiz, single-screen interest capture, a location pre-prompt with a Denver fallback so the map isn't empty, and a finish-setup banner for anyone who signed up mid-action.
Plus a unified AuthGateSheet that handles 17 different "you need to sign in to do that" moments across the app, with intent persistence so you land back where you left off.
Map Overhaul
- A new public drives layer with polylines drawn on the map
- Layer toggles — show events, shops, drives, or any combination
- Per-segment filter sheets that adapt to whatever you're browsing
- Drive-specific filters for length and duration
- Polyline preview thumbnails in the card list
Discover, Unified
Clubs and Shops discovery have been folded into a single Discover page with filters. One consistent surface for finding anything in the Ryvve community.
A Few More Things
- Multi-day events with proper venue-local timezone rendering
- Smarter imported events — host attribution and cross-source dedup, so the same Cars & Coffee doesn't show up twice
- Follow alerts — get notified when someone follows you, toggleable in Notification Preferences
- Motorcycles join cars and trucks in your garage
- Searchable Make/Model in the garage
- Per-car drive analytics on the car details page
- In-app bug reports & feature requests that auto-file with diagnostics attached
- Notification preferences with a weekly digest push for events near you
- km/h and km support for users outside the US
- Event QR codes with a deep-link claim screen for raffles
- In-app password change without leaving the app
Under the Hood
Multi-month scaling pass: hot/cold splits on users, events, clubs, drives, and group conversations; cold-launch drive history hydrated from a per-user summary doc; parallelized boot pipeline; server-aggregated drive summaries; abandoned-drive cleanup; private subdocument for PII; capped streams to prevent OOM. The result: faster cold starts, smoother profile loads, and fewer "why is this slow?" moments.
Update now on the App Store or Google Play, and let us know what you think — there's an in-app feedback form now, so it's never been easier.
