How the estimates work
These are the classic drag-racing formulas built on power-to-weight ratio. Quarter-mile ET is 5.825 × (weight ÷ hp)1/3 and trap speed is 234 × (hp ÷ weight)1/3 — derived by drag racer and engineer Patrick Hale from thousands of real time slips. The 0-60 figure uses a similar power-to-weight fit, with a small adjustment for drivetrain since AWD launches harder than FWD.
Weight and power dominate straight-line acceleration, but they're not the whole story — tires, launch technique, gearing, shift speed, aerodynamics, and density altitude all show up on a real time slip. Treat the outputs as a solid ballpark: great for comparing builds and bench racing, not for settling money races.

Frequently Asked Questions
It's a solid ballpark, not a guarantee. The formulas are fit to thousands of real runs and are usually within a few tenths for a well-driven car on decent pavement, but traction, gearing, shift speed, aerodynamics, altitude, and driver skill all move real-world numbers.
